This handmade fluted ceramic mug is from the “Carved mugs” series, focusing on shape, texture and color. The mug is built with the Coiling Technique from red clay, the piece is first engraved and than the handle is carefully painted with underglaze wisteria color. After the bisque fired the mug is finished with dark gray glaze and fired again.
This handmade fluted ceramic mug is from the “Carved Mugs” series, focusing on shape, texture and color. The mug is built with the Coiling Technique from red clay, the piece is first engraved and than the handle is carefully painted with underglaze wisteria color. After the bisque fired the mug is finished with dark gray glaze and fired again.
The dark gray glaze and the engraved lines give an elegant look to the mug while the colored handle gives a lively tone to the object.
As each mug is individually crafted every peace is unique, therefore note that the item you receive may be a little bit different from the picture.
