Disclaimer
Welcome to Clay By Mi (https://www.claybymi.com), online shop, blog and spotlight on the work of the ceramic artisan Michela Dawe, which is me that I am writing.
I detail this Terms and Conditions because I need to state the rights you have and the rights I have when providing this creative platform of information, content, features, discussion and dialogue. Some things in this Terms and Conditions you might not understand, not to worry, please contact me about your problems and let me know what you think (contact page).
I aspire to do the right, ethical and legal thing in bringing you this site, and I ask that you use the same judgment as you read, use, link to, and share the content hosted on Clay By Mi.
If you want to use content on this site, I ask that you give credit where appropriate and don’t edit Clay By Mi’s content or content that belongs to others without permission. If I’ve made an error, please let me know. You can reach me through the contact page.
Content Validity
My Blog/Website/Shop is always moving forward, expressing views and finding reliable content for readers. I can never be sure that all content is 100% accurate, everyone makes mistakes. I pride ourselves on being human and giving my readers a chance to comment on what I publish.
Sometimes writers may use adult language, this comes under our terms, in which you need to be over a certain age. I will review content periodically and try to avoid bad or offensive wording. Although if you have a problem with anything on the site please help me in my check and let me know using the contact page.
The information I publish today might not be valid or accurate two weeks or two years from now or at any moment in the future. Content, sources, information and links change over time, this is the natural evolution the website.
Libel and Defame
The content on the blog is the opinion of the blogger, not intended to malign any religion, ethnic group, club, organization, company, or individual, or anyone or anything, especially those with the ability and desire to fight back.
Protection from Commenters
I am not responsible, nor will be held liable, for anything anyone says on the Blog/Website/Shop in the blog comments or elsewhere, nor the laws which they may break in my country or theirs through their comments, content, implication, and intent. If you alert me, I can try and tackle the issue first hand by taking down the comment(s).
Protection of Fellow Bloggers
Sometimes, I may use multiple bloggers and/or contributors on the blog. Anything they say is purely opinion, they cannot be held accountable for any content they post and either can I be held accountable for what they post. I cannot moderate all the content 24/7, as I am human, but I can do my best as my intention is not harmful. This means I need my fellow readers to alert me when an activity that doesn’t follow these terms happens, or it will be adjusted when spotted by me as soon as possible. All contributors are shown the terms before writing to make sure they have something to reference when writing.
I Do No Harm
My “intention” is to do no harm. To not injure others, defame, or libel. “Harm” is subject to interpretation not facts. It’s my opinion and advice, not counsel. What I write on my blog/website is not to be taken as fact nor absolute. If people use my advice, tips, techniques, and recommendations, and are injured or get different results from what they expected, I am not to be held responsible.
Disclosure of how I get paid
I will not sacrifice my content to get paid, I am working too hard. I sometimes get paid from advertisements in the sidebar, all being tracked from an external advert manager. These will relate to the content and will never harm you. Although on my website they will not harm you, I cannot be held accountable for what happens when you click and visit the site. If you do find malicious content or content that may harm, I will take it out with the advertiser and maybe go to the extreme of disconnecting all ties with them. I will never pay to write, or a sponsored post, if I do then this will be highlighted (but that is not really my style). All my ethics are transparent, please contact me if you have any problems.
My main functioning income is from my online shop (https://www.claybymi.com/shop).
Language Issues
I am not to be held responsible for translation or interpretation of content. Punctuation can change the intent of a statement, I cannot be held responsible for how you or someone else interprets it. My blog/website/shop will not be prosecuted for bad grammar and punctuation. Although I am Italian, my main language on this website is English.
International and Cultural Laws
I am not responsible for defamatory statements bound to government, religious, or other laws from the readers country of origin.
Limits on Damages
Although I stated earlier that I take no responsibility or liability for any harm or loss suffered by anyone by virtue of the content of this blog/website/shop, in the event there are any damages sought, the absolute limit on damages that you explicitly agree to is a set of promotional material, all related to my ceramic activity.
Please note: You can read all other terms on our dedicated ‘Terms and Conditions‘ page found in the navigation at the top of this page
